Miracle Ware Rice Cooker Directions
helpful cooking tips
2 cups spagetti sauce
3  Italian sausages
1/2 pound ricotta cheese
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1  tablespoon chopped parsley
1 pound ziti
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese

Remove sausage from the casing and brown the meat.  Drain off the grease.
Combine ricotta, nutmeg, salt,  pepper, sugar and parsley.  Blend well.

Cook the ziti, spoon 1/2 the sauce into 13 X9 baking dish.  Layer on 1/2 the ziti.  Cover with all the sausage meat.  Spoon over and even layer of cheese mixture.  Cover with rest of the ziti.  Then add the rest of sauce and sprinkle with the parmesan.

Bake uncovered 400 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes

Baked Ziti
This recipe comes from my mom's old tin recipe box.  It is written on just a piece of 3 by 5 inch paper so it would fit in the recipe box.  This is not a recipe back from when I was kid but it does look pretty old.  I have made this twice the first time I followed the recipe just as written but the second time I put my own twist on it.  I added two more italian sausage links and then topped it with both mozzerella and parmesan cheese.  I think the kids liked it better the second time around.  It fills a 9 by 13 inch pan to the top and fed all 7 of us with some left over.  I personally think you could use any type of pasta you wanted to.  Try this recipe out and give it your own twist then let me know how you jazzed it up
