Chicken & Rice
Chicken & Rice
This again was a recipe my mom made when I was a child. It is one of the many I will be adding to my web site from the metal box that was her's. this dish is not the prettest when you serve it but the flavors are great. I think that brushing the chicken with lemon juice and butter really adds to the flavor of the dish. Again this is one of those easy one dish meals that you can throw together quickly. Serve this with a crisp salad and vegetable and you have a nice dinner in no time. I am sure you could replace the whole cut up chicken with boneless chicken breasts but the flavor you get from the bone in chicken is better.
1 10.5 oz can cream of celery soup
1 10.5 oz can cream of chicken soup
1 10.5 oz can cream of mushroom soup
2/3 cup long grain rice
1 whole chicken cut up
Mix all three soups together with the rice and pour into a baking dish.
Lay the chicken on top and bake for.
1 hour at 350 degrees
Baste chicken with butter and lemon juice.
Hard work and perseverance have made this site what it is today. I add to it almost daily and hope that any readers who appreciate all the hard work I have done to donate. This will help me to continue adding to my site. Donating would help in keeping my costs down so that I can keep bringing you great recipes.
