Old Fashioned Sugar Cookies
This recipe I add with a heavy heart.  It was given to me by my Mother-in-Law, Anna May Keuhn.  Anna passed away on April 25, 2008 after a long and fierce battle with cancer.  For seven long years Anna indure the torture of chemotherapy only to lose her battle.  Anna had been a part of my life for over 30 years and I will miss her terribly.  She was the grandmother to my two girls and a symbol of strength and kindness.

Anna was a wonderful cook and baker and this is not the only recipe I have from her.    To Honor her memory and to show all the love I have for her I am sharing this recipe with my readers.
1     Cup Margarine
1     Cup Sugar
2     Eggs
2     teaspoons vanilla
1     Cup Sour Cream
5     Cups Flour
2      teaspoons baking powder
1 1/4 teaspoons salt
1      teaspoon baking powder
1/4   teaspoon nutmeg

Cream margarine and sugar.  Add eggs, vanilla, to sour cream, Sift together flour, baking powder, salt, soda and nutmeg.  Alternately add dry ingredients with the butter, sugar and sour cream mixture.  Chill throughly.  Roll out 1/4 inch think and cut with cookie cutters.  Sprinkle with sugar or frost after baking.

Bake at 350 degrees for about 12-15 minutes on and ungreased cookie sheet.
