Before each of my recipes I would like to give you a little back ground of how I got the recipe.

This has got to be one of the easiest cookie bars to make. You will most likely have all the ingredients in your pantry or handy in your cupboards. This comes from one of my Moms treasured recipe cards. If you are a fan of the Heath Candy bar you will delight in the flavor of this unusual cookie. My step sons Cody and Dylan do a happy dance when I make these.
This recipe is an easy solution to those of us who for the life of them cannot make a decent pie crust. This pie has a crust but you don't have to roll it out. No dough sticking to the rolling pin, no dough ripping and cracking when your trying to make a somewhat round piece of crust. My mom has two variations on this card so that you can use fresh apples when in season or canned apple pie filling.
I made a fresh batch of these yesterday. This first batch I didn't fill the muffin cups full enough they turned out little so the second batch I made sure I filled it atleast 2/3rds full. I reserved some of my chopped pecans and mixed it with brown sugar and cinnamon to sprinkle on the top before I baked them.
